Vaddanam (Golden waist belt)

Posted by Srujan Chennupati (Hyderabad, India) on 1 July 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

This is a traditional jewelery worn by young and old alike during functions. This has undergone a lot of change in design to size (width) in last couple of decades. This is called vaddanam. This is common in Southern part of India.

There is quite a lot of distance to be traveled, before I can call my self a skilled photographer. Take a look at my work on "Flickr" and 500px.

I like the mehndi-stained out-of-focus right forearm of the model.

@Sugata: Probably I should have used a higher aperture to get everything into focus.
