This was the most difficult shot I have EVER shot in my whole life. This was shot for the second "Canon Photomarathon India" competetion and the theme was "Let there be light". While most of the competitors left when this theme was given, I pondered for sometime and came up with this idea. I should really commend the lady (Megha/Model) for her patience and not moving at all for 5 seconds.
Scene: Canon's Service center, Front office.
How was it shot: Explained the pose to the model and requested to hold her pose steady (without making any body moments). Set the camera on tripod and focused the camera on her eyes. Switched off the lights and adjusted the focus in the dark (complete darkness with very very dim light), because there was a slight movement by the model when she turned her face towards the camera, after switching off the lights.
Shutter Speed: 1/3 sec
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 1600
Lens: Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8
Camera: Canon 450D
Model: Megha
There is quite a lot of distance to be traveled, before I can call my self a skilled photographer. Take a look at my work on "Flickr" and 500px.
